Group Play & Animal Care Supervisor: Emily Garrison
Biography: Emily Garrison began her BloomingPaws journey as an ACT in 2015, leaving the retail world behind. Born in Boilermaker territory and raised as a Hoosier, she has always had the dream of working with animals. As the supervisor of both Animal Care Technicians and Group Play Guardians at BloomingPaws, she uses her vast knowledge and experience of dogs’ health and behavior to make each pet’s experience the best it can be.
Emily is a devoted wife and mother of 3, and is also the proud owner of 7 dogs, 6 cats, 30 chickens, and various pocket pets. Her hobbies include canning, gardening, and enjoying nature with her beloved family. Together, the Garrisons are building a homestead nestled on 6 acres in rural Greene County.
Philosophy & Goals: Working at BloomingPaws has rekindled my love for dogs and the desire to be an ambassador of their livelihood. Daily I strive to care for each creature I encounter as though they are my own. I form close bonds with the dogs, some I consider friends; keeping each of them close to my heart. I continue to learn as much as possible about the behavior of dogs and use that knowledge to guide our staff in order to make each dog’s visit the best it can be.
